What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy recommended by the National Council of Clinical Excellence (NICE) as an effective technique for helping people living with anxiety, depression and other mental health problems. (https://www.nice.org.uk/)

Focusing on the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, CBT explores current thought patterns, conscious and unconscious beliefs, and behaviours.

With the guidance of a qualified therapist, negative thinking patterns are identified, challenged and replaced with healthier, more realistic thought processes, emotional responses and behaviours.
Focusing on present day problems, the client and therapist will work together, as a team, to develop goals, track progress and create positive solutions.
Clients are the experts on themselves, while the therapist has the skills to guide them through the process.
